I finally conceded that I don’t have time to do the motor mounts on the Disco, so I dropped it off at the mechanics to get the work done. I think it is in good company.
And this is just what they had outside...

Is that a K5 Blazer with a 454? Holy displacement to wheelbase ratio.

Is your mechanic Jalopnik Motors or something?

Have them do the trans mounts while they are in there. They’ll probably have to loosen them to do the engine mounts. All four are a pain in the dick, though I did them on a grass/gravel driveway... probably way easier on a lift.

Your mechanic makes for a good little car show.

Agreed. I know I am in the right place when I don’t know what half of the cars are.

Off the top of my head, the only car that I can think is more extreme is a Viper.

Am I weird if my favorite car on that lot is the Jimmy?

Only slightly. Does it help or hurt they they had a Travelall on the lift?

Depends on generation. If it’s the last one from the 70's I take what I just wrote back.

Oh wow, I wasn’t aware of generations 1-3. Yes, it was a 4th generation from the 70s.
